PLURIS MOLISE ROSSO DOP RISERVA

THE WINE

Pluris Molise Rosso Riserva represents the most complex and ambitious expression of the Montepulciano grape. The prolonged 24-month ageing in new oak is masterfully managed by combining barriques and tonneaux; these different barrel sizes perfectly calibrate micro-oxygenation and the aromatic impact of the wood, enriching the wine's structure without ever overpowering its core fruity identity. In the glass, it reveals a dark ruby red color accented by elegant garnet nuances. The nose offers a broad and layered olfactory profile, where dark jammy fruit, such as blackberry and plum, seamlessly intertwines with balsamic hints, notes of bitter cocoa, and very fine sweet spices. On the palate, it is impressive, warm, and enveloping. The mouthfeel is richly textured, supported by a dense yet velvety tannic structure and a crisp acidity that ensures remarkable longevity. It concludes with a very long finish characterized by a decisive taste-olfactory persistence.

AGRONOMIC PROFILE

  • Grape Variety: Montepulciano

  • Production Area: Montenero di Bisaccia, Italy

  • Soil Profile: Clayey, Calcareous

  • Training System: Guyot

  • Yield per Hectare: 5 tons (5,000 kg)

VINIFICATION & AGEING

  • Fermentation: Temperature-controlled in stainless steel tanks, featuring long maceration to maximize the extraction of anthocyanins and noble tannins, essential for supporting long-term ageing.
