Tuscany is famously the land of spectacular landscapes and fine wine, but Castello del Terriccio is truly a hidden gem within this region. The eucalyptus trees, wild herbs, blackcurrants and warm spices leap out of a glass of Lupicaia, Castello del Terriccio or Tassinaia. On the palate those incredibly long-lived wines are elegantly balanced, complex and a true reflection of how well Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot grow in the area. This boutique winery only produces five wines: one white, and four reds, internationally recognized as some of the best so called “super-tuscans”.
