The Favorita has come a long way to arrive in the gentle sands of Roero. It is said to have left Spain to transit in France and then disembark in Sardinia. From here he moved towards Tuscany and Liguria to finally land in Piedmont. A wine which, in the period dominated by the great noble houses in Europe, had a resounding success… only to be lost in the years to come due to its sensitive nature to vine diseases and cold temperatures. Today it risks disappearing permanently due to the serious disease called flavescence dorée.
