Tili Orange

Orange wine is a type of wine originating in Armenia with a generally structured and tannic character, even though it is made from white grapes. Our Tili Orange is the result of a blend of overripe Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, and Fleurtai grapes and unripe Grechetto grapes. The skins are left to macerate with the must for about two weeks at a controlled temperature of 15 degrees, before fermentation is completed in steel vats. This vinification process produces a wine that is more structured than the respective white wines made from the same grapes, more resistant to ageing and enriched by tannins from both the skins and the seeds. The captivating orange color embellished with golden reflections heralds the intoxicating scents reminiscent of dried apricots, walnut kernels, and pears in syrup, enhanced by an undertone of balsamic and mineral notes. The freshness and sapidity of our orange wine are due to maceration and early bottling, which allow it to be fruity and acidic, but at the same time structured and full-bodied like a red wine.
